A Prayer to Whomever
Like many aspects of celebrity life, religion seems to be a fashion accessory - and is changed just as often. Currently the hottest religion around is Kabbalah. Its trademark red string has adorned many a celebrity's wrist, and amongst its followers are Madonna, Lindsay Lohan, Britney Spears and Demi and Ashton.
Like most people, celebrities have a need for spirituality. However, mainstream religion doesn't seem to appeal to them and they tend to opt for fringe religions like Kabbalah and Scientology. Most people have only become aware of these religions due to their celebrity following. The choice of religion might be a reflection of their need to be noticed, which compel them to be different.
